Top 5 Music and Podcasts Apps on Android in Ukraine: Q3 2024 Performance

During the third quarter of 2024, the music and podcast app landscape on the Android platform in Ukraine saw interesting trends. According to Sensor Tower data, five apps stood out in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts maintained a steady presence in the market with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $18.4K in the week of August 19. Downloads saw a notable increase mid-quarter, reaching a high of about 16.5K in the week of July 22. However, weekly active users experienced a slight decline from around 520K to 503K over the quarter.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts did not generate any revenue during this period, but it managed to maintain a consistent download rate, peaking at around 10.8K in late July. Active users fluctuated slightly, with numbers ranging from approximately 353K to 390K throughout the quarter.

SoundCloud: Play Music & Songs experienced modest revenue growth, peaking at around $731 in mid-August. Weekly downloads showed an upward trend, reaching a peak of about 9.5K in early September. The app's active user base increased steadily, from approximately 265K to 280K by the end of September.

Music & Radio online Kyivstar also did not record any revenue, but it saw varying download numbers, with a notable peak of around 8.9K in mid-September. Active users showed fluctuations, peaking at approximately 8.8K in late August before settling around 7K by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, YouTube Music did not report any revenue either, but its weekly downloads gradually declined from around 6.9K in mid-July to 4.8K by the end of September. Despite this, active users grew steadily, reaching nearly 2.6M by the quarter's end.
